So I finally made a change to my workout. I still can’t really lift and I still don’t want to do much with my feet, but I reverted back to my old ways… I started doing circuit training again.
It wasn’t anything too complex. I just did three leg strength exercises alternating with three upper body or cardio exercises. I did 10 reps of anything that had reps, one minute on the elliptical when it came around and 30 seconds with the battling rope when it came around. I did 10 full sets with 10 reps of each exercise, so 100 reps total. I only rested after the 5th and 8th round for two minutes. Otherwise I went nonstop.
It felt good to get back to doing that type of workout. It is completely different than lifting and cardio while basically only lifting and doing cardio. It is just that it gets rid of the monotony of lifting and cardio.
Other than that, I had a pretty good day at work, got plenty of steps in, went and took photographs that my wife wanted (it was kina fun, western theme) and then after we had pizza. Wasn’t the best day for eating, but could have been worse.
I can tell that I’m going to be sore from the workout. I’ve used muscles I haven’t used in awhile. But that’s a good thing!
